Canon PowerShot G11

Canon Powershot G-series has represented a fairly strong presence at the top of the tree compact camera. From the viewpoint of the photographer, there is little in the market that blend zoom range, lens flexibility, quality and level of manual control can fit. Somehow the Ricoh GX and the Nikon P series has never had the same effect, but the Panasonic LX3 enough to withdraw a number of potential customers, with the lens clear and convincing (to compact) low light performance.

The G11 seems determined to wrestle back his position as a champion who did not need from the market, though, that what Canon describes as 'high sensitivity' of a CCD. In what may be the first, the company reduced the number of pixels compared to previous models. In principle there is no downside to having more pixels when the entire image (other than a larger size that can slow down the camera and quickly fill your memory card and extra complication of having noise reduction before demosaicing to implement something that not many people willing or able to do it .) But the larger image sensor site is often a lower pixel density tended to receive more light in the same exposure, making it easier to get images that look clean at the pixel level to produce. Almost as if to Canon's flagship compact for comfortable all-to be.

Body-style derived from the G7, which many overstuur existing G-series owners by eliminating a number of functions they will become accustomed. These features are missing, one-by-one, which was reintroduced as the range has grown, brings us to the G11, which eventually fold-out swivel screen that disappears after G6. There is no denying it is well equipped with cameras and style that attracts many photographers.

However, because the G10 comes, Olympus and Panasonic have Micro Four Thirds compact camera with interchangeable lenses release of P2, E-P1 and E-GF1 Powershot G series looks like a less obvious choice. Examples Panasonic GF1, no larger than the G11 offers the same level of external control (though without calling retro cool metal), but is built around a sensor with more than

five-and-half times the size. So even though GF1 and Olympuses can not compete with the range of 28-140mm equivalent lens G11 (at least while the rest is so compact package), they tend to provide greater image quality and control over depth of field than a small sensored Canon can.

BlackBerry PlayBook

RIM has announced its first tablet PC, Blackberry guidelines. BlackBerry Naming Playbook beyond belief of many who expected a Tablet PC or RIM will be called the Book of Surf surfboard Blackpad. In fact, facts tell, different Playbook is the name chosen and announced by RIM CEO Mike Lazaridis yesterday at their annual developer event in San Francisco Blackberry 2010.

Like most Tablet PCs, slim and thin as a board - then a slate as well - with a weight of 400 grams and is size 7 Inc. as the ideal screen size Samsung Galaxy Tab.

Naming the "Play" for this tablet is a little interesting, because the word is sometimes played a negative impression, Playboy and Playgirl. Surfbook actually the most appropriate name, because the use of tablets, such as reading a book (books) that are characteristic of a tablet computer and Surf's words indicate that with the owner of the tablet, large sea surf the internet and communication. In addition, RIM, the target company as a buyer, so the naming seems inappropriate.

But also the names of objects on the Tablet PC is not without reason. Info I can, because these tablets "full support" to all Flash-based content. All flash games. IPAD satire is not all that flash, except for support by changing the first, and even then the results are not optimal.

Besides getting a warm welcome, Playbook will also be a ripple in disappointment. Because of (yet) support for BlackBerry applications. This may be understandable, because the OS is being used rather than the Blackberry OS, QNX and OS but later changed its name to the Tablet OS on Blackberry. So take time for all applications that are compatible with the tablet this BB.

Therefore Playbook will be officially released to the public in early 2011, the time for all application developers BB to sync as possible. At the same time giving RIM the opportunity to market the tablet to learn and begin to explore the possibility of competition with Samsung with his Galaxy Tab, IPAD Android second generation and tablet computers in those days.

Do you think the BlackBerry Playbook able to conquer its rivals?

Nokia Windows Phone7

Today, Nokia and Microsoft have officially signed a strategic alliance which primary smartphone platforms Windows 7 Phone Nokia makes, but also extends to many other Microsoft services, such as Bing, Xbox Live and Office.

In addition, the two companies combine many additional services such as Nokia and store content will be integrated into the Microsoft Marketplace, while the Nokia Maps will become - as the press release Nokia said - in the heart of Bing and adCenter.

Nokia also will experience significant changes in operational structures and leadership. From April 1, Nokia will have two main business units: Smart Devices, led by Jo Harlow, and mobile phones, led by Mary McDowell.

Of course, with such a dramatic change in the Nokia strategy, one must wonder what will happen to the other smartphone platforms. Symbian, Nokia says, a "platform franchise, increase investment formerly with the harvest," and MeeGo will become open-source, mobile operating system project. "

While Nokia said it expects about 150 million Symbian devices to sell more in the future, it is clear that from now, some people will buy Symbian devices because they are running Symbian software. Possible strength of mid-range Nokia smartphones and feature phones with the Nokia flagship mobile phone with Windows 7.

leaders Microsoft and Nokia enthusiastic partnership. "We will be an opportunity to create something that currently exists,"said Nokia CEO Stephen Elop.

How do you think? Does collaboration with Microsoft the right move for Nokia, and vice versa? Please, give us your opinion in the comments.
